Why
hold·ing ground
/ˈhōldiNG ɡround/
noun NAUTICAL
an area of seabed where an anchor will hold.
Making documentary films is not for the faint of heart. It is painstaking, detailed work that a filmmaker I admire once said is just like pushing a wagon of dirt up a hill, every day. But everyone we know who has dedicated their life to this craft will testify about how that dirt is so fascinating and the wagon is just incredibly important.
This is the approach of Holding Ground Media. We come from a place of passion for storytelling, yes, but also for putting down an anchor into a world that may have been largely invisible before we got there and is just too significant not to notice. To take the time to see and feel. To shine the light on a deserving subject.
We have had over 20 years experience doing this. And we are just getting started.
